We did not discover the North Coast from a guidebook. We discovered it one trip at a time—driving its roads, visiting its towns, trying restaurants, spending days at the beach and occasionally taking the wrong turn.
Our Caribbean Journal is our family’s living notebook. Some stories will be about a full day in Puerto Plata. Others may be a favourite lunch in Cabarete, a morning near Encuentro, or simply something useful we learned along the way.
We will keep adding to it as we travel, so the journal grows with our own experience of the Dominican Republic.
